Platforms
Siemens S7 and TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and drives from ABB, Danfoss and SEW. The platform is chosen by what the plant already holds as spares and what its maintenance team can service without calling us.
From panel to field device
Control panel build and wiring, PLC I/O, drive parameterisation, and installation of sensors and actuators. Sensing is a subject of its own in every plant. There is dust, damp and vibration in quantity, and a wrong sensor choice shows up in the first hard frost.
What you are left with
Loop-checked I/O, a labelled circuit list and control documentation. The aim is that the next engineer can work from it without phoning us. That works when the labelling is done properly the first time.
HOW A PROJECT RUNS

SURVEY
We walk the plant and look at what is there and what is missing. Old drawings rarely match reality, so we measure for ourselves. You hear the findings before anything is promised.

SCHEDULE
The date and the commissioning window are agreed before work starts. Usually they hang off the shutdown, when the hall is full of other contractors and every hoist is booked. Resourcing is best locked down well in advance.

INSTALL
Drawn before it is pulled, labelled before it is live. The site is cleared daily. In most plants that is a fire safety matter as much as a tidiness one.

COMMISSION
Loop checks, dry runs and running under load. The handover briefing is given by whoever wired it. Test records follow by the end of the project at the latest.
The questions that usually come first.
Do you program the PLC or only wire it?
We do the installation, the I/O terminations, drive parameterisation and loop checks. Application programming is usually the machine supplier’s or yours. We work to their specification and hand over loop-checked I/O.
Which platforms do you work with?

Do you build the panels yourselves?
Either way works. We build to drawing, and we also install and commission panels supplied by others.
